Wales vs Belgium: The Dream run continues for Wales

The welsh team came from behind to secure their greatest win which will live in the hearts of their fans for a long time. The Belgium team was labeled as favorites to head into the semi finals but couldn’t live up to the exceptions as they were out shined by the sheer brilliance of the Wales team. The team looked very strong on the cards but the passion of Wales player was the one to watch as they not only beat their opponents but beat them in style to show that they are not the team to be ignored.

Wales vs Belgium: The Dream run continues for Wales

The match stared with tempo as Belgium came up with strings of attacks but the Wales backline stood strong and the Belgium team was not able to penetrate it until 13 minutes when the Welsh team allowed Radja Nainggolan too much space and he took the advantage of the situation by scoring a stunning goal but it was the only positive for Belgium form the last night game as the Wales team equalized when Ashley William headed into the Belgium net. The goals from Han-Robson Kanu and Sam Vokes insured the victory of the Wales team and allowed them to precede into the semi finals.

Wales are not a one man team

Before the tournament has started, Wales were called just a number and were labeled as a one man team as they totally relied on Gareth bale for the goals but last night they proved that they are not a one man team with their inspired display. The way the whole Wales backline put their bodies on the line when Belgium threatened for goals in the starting minutes clearly showed that how badly they wanted to win this match and the 3 goals scored were neither assisted or nor scored by Bale that truly showed their class.

Han-Robson kenu’s stock on rise

The Wales striker was an unknown entity before the start of the tournament and even he was a free agent, no one seems interested in him but suddenly everything has changed for him after strings of impressive performances for Wales in the tournament. He has scored two goals for this team so far and both the goals were the winning goals for his team. His last night goal was a thing of beauty as the way he executed a Cyruff turn and scored.

The Golden Generation fails to impress once again

If you are labeled with the tag of the golden generation, then you would probably have something special in your team and when you look at the Belgium team that certainly is the case but they have failed to fulfill their potential as they were once again eliminated from a major tournament and that too by the Welsh team which was very much less fancied. Their defense leaked as it was evident from the Wales equalizer where nobody was covering the Wales skipper. The attack too pampered on the important occasions that led to the elimination of this hellishly talented team.

Can Wales cope up without Ben Davies and Aaron Ramsey?

This would be the question on everyone‘s else mind as because these two players have been the poles for the Wales team and Aaron Ramsey’s absence specially could haunt Wales against the Portugal team in the semi finals. The both players gave man of the match performances in group stages and Aaron Ramsey has been the hardest working player for the Wales team in this tournament and his performance was brilliant against the Belgian team too. Gareth Bale will have to step up and show his class in the attack to destroy Portugal and it seems destined for him to do it against his Real Madrid mate.
